Deputies in Spartanburg County have arrested a tow truck driver for allegedly violating local towing ordinances


In Spartanburg County, South Carolina, an Upstate tow truck driver has been apprehended for allegedly breaching the county's towing regulations.

Christopher Michael Cole, aged 47, faces charges of violating the county ordinance, as per the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities stated that Cole towed 11 trucks and trailers from a Spinx gas station located on Highway 14 near Greer.

Investigations revealed that Cole utilized the names of two separate towing companies, Southern Pride Towing and Affiliation Towing, along with storage facilities in Wellford and Duncan.

Following consultation with the county attorney's office, the sheriff’s office investigator secured two warrants against Cole.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office urges individuals who may have experienced improper towing by Cole recently to report it to them.
